Hi doggielover, saw your post at tinctures.blogspot regarding horse chestnut. she's right, i think, horse chestnut is a bit tricky to use for novice tincturers. you might check into butcher's broom on the web or at the mountain rose herbs site if you like. it's a safe and effective herb for pretty much the same thing H/C is used for. i get my herbs from them. they use mostly organic and wildcrafted herbs. i think they're pretty well regarded, too. best wishes. tupelo kid
